Orange Walk District
Lamani is one of the largest Mayan sites in Belize, located on the shore of the 30-mile-long New River Lagoon in the Orange Walk district. As you embark on the New River to the Lamanai Mayan temples you will appreciate an amazing landscape and see wildlife such as snails, jacanas, morelet crocodiles and iguanas.

At 7:00 am, our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Belize City to transfer you to Tower Hill in the Orange Walk district.
Upon arrival you will board a boat to start the tourist cruise on the New River. You will cross many small streams and lagoons where you can see different birds and monkeys. At the entrance of the New River lagoon you can see the Lamanai temples standing upright.
Upon disembarking, and after a short rest, you will start the archaeological walk where you will visit the most important temples and squares, including the Temple of the Masks, the Temple of the Jaguar, The High Temple and the ball game, among others. Picnic lunch on site.
